Re: Dress shopping tomarrow and...
Absolutely!! I gained 30 lbs in the past year and a half and in the process of trying to lose it! There's nothing better to make you feel overweight in being a size 10 and being told you need a size 14!!!!
With that said, nowadays a lot of the shops are carrying larger samples sizes. To my shock and amazement, mine actually fit me perfectly when I tried it on.
Keep in mind there is plenty of time to lose weight between now and your wedding. At least this is what I keep telling myself as the days are passing....
And don't worry about what size the dress is or what size you are!! Just remember you are looking for the dress that will make you a beautiful bride no matter what!!!
PS Try on ones that are basque waists...I find those tend to have a slimming effect!!

Well the dresses are sample size anyway so chances are they won't zip up but you have plenty of time if you wanted to drop a few pounds, I am sure you will look amazing and it will be better than you expected!

Yeah, I need to drop about 20- 30 pounds, but when I put on that dress, I felt like even if I don't make my goal, I'd still feel great on my wedding day in that dress. Then FMIL said 'You look great! You can't tell how fat you are! You even look smaller then Matthew (I am about 40 pounds smaller then him) AND don't worry, no one will look at your arms!!'

I am going shopping for dresses on Friday. I am so upset too about my weight. I am dieting and working out now to reach my goal, but it's only been 4 weeks so I am far from it. I want to lose 50lbs by the wedding....I have lost 13 so far....but I think I am gonna be upset to see myself in dresses at this weight. Oh well.....mayb eit will just be further motivation.

I have to say I felt the same way before I went for the first time (and only time so far). But I lucked out because I went to Davids Bridal and they have all different sizes to try on so everything I tried fit and it was very exciting. Now of course I don't want to go to the other places with small samples!
