dress shopping tomorrow

what did you girls wear going shopping?
I cant decide what to wear..did you girls wear jeans or a dress or sweatpants..im trying to figure out if it matters if i need something to slip out of or if it doesnt matter

Are you going to more then one place?

If so I would wear flats so you can take them off fast. A strapless bra. Jeans work. Also wear makeup!

Anytime that I went I just wore a regular casual outfit (jeans and a sweater or something) and brought my strapless bra. In my experiences, you didn't really have to worry about slipping clothes on and off because once I was out of my real clothes i stayed out and the consultant was the one going back and forth out of the dressing room for more dresses. I haven't brought shoes with me and a lot of places had shoes to wear with the dresses but it really wont be a deal-breaker to be barefoot, you just need heels for the fittings.

Agreed, wear make-up otherwise you'll be distracted trying to picture yourself done-up rather than au naturel.

oh and wear underwear that you're comfortable showing to at least one other person (consultant). for example, don't wear 'Thursday' underwear tomorrow.

go with the strapless bra!! its a pain with the straps taking them down, or off to see what the dress looks like.

also, depending on how tall you are you may want to bring heels to get the effect. I'm 5'9'' and needed to know if I should order extra length..

Haven't gone yet but I was told when I do go to wear underwear you don't mind people seeing LOL since they will see you in your panties a lot LOL and to bring a pair of heels (or whatever style shoe you plan on wearing) with you to get a better idea.

but otherwise an outfit easy to take off and put back on

I am very self conscious of my tummy and just being undressed in front of someone i don't know in general. so, i wore tights whenever i went dress shopping. They hide most of my tummy and my legs. That made me feel way more comfortable while shopping!

i totally agree! the idea of having a stranger dress me for some time just doesnt sit well with me.

I wore jeans and a shirt.... Definitely wear a strapless bra and no thong underwear!

Definitely have makeup and you hair not a mess. It does help see the whole look when you do not look like a mess!

At Village Bridal they didnt dress me... thank god! I was soooo uncomfortable with the idea of someone being in the room with me. Fortunately, they let me get into the dress as much as I could and zip up as much as I could and she would help clip the dress etc... that was such a relief for me!

Strapless Bra and the height heel you think you would be wearing on your wedding day! Do you hair and wear mascara :) I've heard face make-up is a no-no bc it tends to smear onto the white dresses :)

Have fun! Be firm with your budget and make sure you are in loooove with the dress :)

Bring a pony tail holder!

I wore shorts when it was that time of the month. Other than that, they really only see you for under 5 minutes.

I just went to Nouveau bride in Merrick and they give a discount if you your dress with them, like to your bridesmaid dresses and MOB dresses. I would ask the places you go if they do the same.
