All I've heard are good things about that place! It's a little far for me, but I might go if I can't find anything.

Re: Dress Shopping Tonight!
I went a couple of weeks ago - Barbara helped me - - there is no picture taking until you purchase (which stinks). They do have this really cool lighting though. The dressing rooms are very small.

Re: Dress Shopping Tonight!
Good luck! Advice:
Wear full coverage underwear or boy shorts....no thongs
Bring a hair tie or clip....it gets hot
Eat before you go, you don't want to get hungry. If you're anything like me, you get cranky when you're hungry and that affects my mood and decisions
Try on things that 'aren't your style.' You never know what you might really like.
Try to do your makeup and hair nice, you'll feel better in the gowns.
ETA: the places where I tried on gowns didn't allow pics either. But if your mom, sisters, or whoever happen to have a camera phone........they really could just be texting, if you know what I mean That's how I got my pics

Re: Dress Shopping Tonight!
This is where I bought my dress from!!! I worked with Cherise. She was very nice. They let you look through everything and pull whatever you want. She'll help put on the dresses but they don't come in the fitting rooms unless you ask them too. If there are certain styles you are interested in she will find them for you... it's all very laid back. I didn't get any pressure from them to buy anything even though I insisted on leaving my deposit right then and there (so much for my plans of negotiating - LOL!!!).
I didn't ask to take pictures but I don't think they let you unless you purchase a dress. However they didn't really babysit me either so if you have someone with you I'm sure they could snap pics while no one was looking.
Have fun!!! Let me know how it goes!!!!

Re: Dress Shopping Tonight!
Thanks girls!! I plan on trying on everything, I am open to anything... I don't have a particular style in mind.... My only requirement is that I feel beautiful in it! I wish I could take pics though, Im gonna bring my camera with me anyway, I'll try to sneak a few shots!
I will let you all know how it goes! Thanks again for all the advice!!

Re: Dress Shopping Tonight!
I went there and worked with Danielle. She was really nice with a lot of personality but that wasn't always helpful....SHe loved every gown!!! Who really loves every gown! But she was very helpful and found head pieces that matched almost every dress that I tried on. I was dead set on a maggie sottero and they didn't have the ones I was looking for so I did not order through them. They have a large selection but not to overwhelming. I think its a great place to start but def shop around. I live very close to them and I ended up ordering my gown in bayshore....you have time---use it and go everywhere.....Also--once you find your gown--attend one of those bridal expos. Commack wedding center will most likely be there and will give you a $100 off any gown and match the lowest price---can't beat that!!

Re: Dress Shopping Tonight!
Hey girls.... I had sooooooo much fun tonight. It was definitely overwhelming since I didn't have styles in mind, but I did find a bunch I liked and narrowed it down to 3 favorites. I have a definate front runner. It's a Maggie Sottero, they wouldn't let me take pics though I tried on I'd say about 8 dresses. I am definitely going to try on a lot more because the first one I tried on I thought might be 'the one' but my fav was the last one I tried on!! I want to try a few other shops before I make up my mind, I still have a little more time before I have to order.
Paradise Bridal was great, I worked with Vivian, she was so sweet. I was reading all the advice you girls gave me and I remember reading Laura's 'wear full coverage undies -- no thongs' yeah, well poor Vivian had to stare at my thonged a$$ all evening! I forgot to change my undies before I left my house!!! At first I was a little embarrassed but I got over it!!
