I want to take a full day and visit some dress shops in the city and maybe brooklyn. Can you ladies recommend some shops in those areas. Would also like to visit some in queens.

Priscilla of Boston, Vera Wang, and Junko Yoshioka were the places that I have visited and had great experiences at!! They have dresses at all price points.
I would also try Pronovias and one of the department stores like Saks.

Alexandria's boutique on Austin Street in Queens is supposed to be good. I've heard that RK Bridal in Manhattan is supposed to be great too, although from what I've read, it's not really a full service bridal salon in the sense that you won't get as much assistance there as in other salons.

I'd definitely check out RK Bridal, though be prepared to fend for yourself. Also, I'd make RK Bridal my first stop if you plan to go on the weekend. Kelly's Kreations in Brooklyn was always extremely helpful to me. I actually found my dress at Charisol Bridal on Northern Blvd. in Queens so I really liked them, too! Alexandra Boutique has a small bridal section but it's worth a look because they are SO nice in there. That's where we ordered our BM dresses. Anyway, good luck!
ETA: I've never been, but there's also H&S Bridal in the city. I hear it's supposed to be pretty good.

RK Bridal.....It may be a little out but I loved Gowns by Louise in the Bronx. My sister got her girls dresses from her, My FSIL got her gown from her and her BM's dress and I'm getting my girls gown from her. I would have gotten my dress if I lived in NY. I'm getting my dress in FL. I guess she has my family business. She is awesome.

There are a number of good shops in Brooklyn such as:
Valentina's Bridal - New Utrecht Ave. & 77th Street Doris Fashions - 18th Ave & 68th Street Kelly's Kreations - 18th Ave & around 72nd St. Lestan's Fashions - Ralph & Flatlands Aves.
and a few others on Ave. U

I went there because they had a big selection of Maggies. They also had Jasmine bridesmaid dresses and Blue by Enzoani dresses! HTH!
