dress stress

dress stress

I purchaced my dress two months ago at bridal reflections and I was torn between two different style of dresses( one fitted/ mermaid the other more of a ball gown) . Th one I purchased is pretty but not really my dream dress (mermaid) . The reason I purchaced that one was because it was more figure flattering and I was not in wedding diet-mode ( i was planning on loosing all the weight I gained the past 2 years)

My MOH thought i should go for the dream dress, but my mother talked me out of it. because the dream dress sample size was small, she ( and I ) couldn't visualize it on me, and the other dress fit.

Since then I have lost 15 pounds, and I am planning on loosing another 20-25 ( which would put me back at my 'happy' weight). I have been thinking/obsessing about buying the second dress to wear, or seeing if they will exchange the bought dress for the dream dress ( which is more money, so they will actually make even more) , and if not, buy it online and bite the deposit price .

The problem is my mom , she told me I am a bridezilla for wanting two dresses or changing the dress and that i have weight issues !!! regardless she would be paying the same amount and I would add to it , I just don't understand why she would tell me I am a bridezilla over that and throw my eating ' issues' in my face!

Am I wrong? what would you girls do if you really wanted another dress after you put a deposit on one . I am planning on calling the store today anyway , but my mom made me feel really bad .

Re: dress stress

I changed dresses 3x!!!!!!!! and one time was with Bridal Reflections, they switched the dress I originally ordered with the same designer only though because the dress was being cut at the time I switched. If you really want to try then call them now and see what they can do.
