Dress stress_with pics

So this whole wedding dress shopping is stressing me out and I've only been to one place. I found 2 dresses that I liked. But I want to go to a few more places. I live in Queens so don't want to go too far to get a dress. I went to Wedding Salon in Manhasset. The only other 2 places that I know of that are within 25 minute drive is Macys Bridal in Mahasset and Bridal Reflections in Carle Place but I feel like both of those places have real bad reviews. I am off this whole week so I want to go look. I just find the whole process draining. I feel like I wont find anything I love.

Can anyone recommend a good bridal salon with friendly staff within a 25 minute drive of whitestone?

2nd pic wont post.....

I would definitely say to try RK Bridal. It is not quite as personal as some of the smaller salons but you will get so much more of selection than any small boutique. Then if you find something there you have a jumping off point. My biggest suggestion for RK is to go during the week because weekends are nuts. It is on 39th between 9th and 10th in Manhattan

I also live in queens so I am totally with you on finding something close. I unfortunately ended up finding my dress all the way out in Patchogue

You can try The Bridal World in Baldwin..they are really nice and personable there. It's about a 20-30 min drive but worth it and the prices are great. You could also try David's Bridal the one in LIC (I went today just browsing) but the woman that helped me was great.

Also, I think Lillette's is supposed to be really good but I haven't gone there yet

I got my dress from Bridal Reflections in Carle Place and I've only had a great experience so far.

I got my dress at RK Bridal. It's not as personal as some other bridal stores but as long as you know what you want, you don't need too much 1 on 1 with the sales staff.

You can also check out Designer Loft in Manhattan. It's very small and personalized but I did find their prices to be a bit high.

And what about Kleinfelds or Pronovias in Manhattan?

I went to Valentinas in Brooklyn...its a little further then 25 min...but definatly worth the trip!

Definitely Bridal World in Baldwin - great prices, great selection, huge space, great dressing rooms. I went EARLY (relatively) on a Saturday and I got 3.5 hours of their attention and a lot of space. An hour before I left, it started to get a little crowded but I was not rushed. If you are off during the week, make an appointment and go before noon. You should have a pretty great experience.

RK Bridal has great prices too but I think its a lot more crowded as they do not take appointments and a little more hectic. Personally I loved Bridal World.

Lilettes was nice but much smaller selection and I felt a little more pressured when I was there. They were also a little more expensive.

I've never been to the Bridal Reflections in Carle Place, but I've been to the one in the city and had a GREAT experience. So I would definitely recommend that one if you go into the city...

take the subway into the city and check out Pronovias. View some of their gowns at pronovias.com to get a sense of what you like and then call and make the appointment. The store is just off 5th on 52nd street.

I worked with Stefanie and had a great experience as far as searching for the gown is concerned.

Good luck and don't stress out. You'll find the perfect dress!

What are the bad reviews about Bridal Reflections in Carle Place? I don't have it yet so I can't speak for that end but my experience picking my dress there was great. I just happened to be there during a trunk show and got a great deal. Everyone was very helpful and nice. The shop itself is gorgeous and I really enjoyed my experience. I hope all goes as well with the dress coming in and alterations. I don't know of any reason not to go there other than they are a little more high end (I don't think they have dresses under say $1500 but I'd call first and ask to make sure).

I would try Lilletts in Bellmore they have so many dresses to choose from.

I had a great experience at bridal reflections in carle Place. Everyone was soooo helpful. They made me feel super comfortable - even though I did not fit into most of the dresses But I still ended up with getting my dress from them anyway!!!! I also got the BM dresses there. Diana, Christine and Colleen in the Bm department were amazing !!!! And my mom just ordered her dress there too today! They are wonderful . I think you should still check them out! Remember everyone has different experiences- its what you make of them - remember that!
