dress update... and my good bye
sorry i have been M*I*A ...
i just wanted to thank everyone who reached out to me, offering me their dresses and support.
i have been insanely busy and stressed getting ready for the wedding saturday and i haven't been able to respond to everyone who has fm'ed me but i will.
the seamstress who originally destroyed my dress attempted again to fix it. i am still not thrilled but its leaps and bounds better than it was before, so even though its not perfect, it is still THE dress and i can't see myself wearing anything else.
it's been so sad for me that someone has been able to make me feel this way days before the happiest day of my life. how dare someone take away from me the feeling of being able to wear the dress of my dreams to marry the man i love? all because she was LAZY.
so let this serve as a warning to all of you... schedule your fittings EARLY, leave plenty of time for snafus and do not trust someone when they say 'trust me'...
again, i just want to thank everyone for their generous offers over the past few days, support and kind words. this forum has been an invaluable resource for me.
my rehearsal/RD is friday and i have about a million and one things to do tomorrow. so this is my good bye. i will return after my honeymoon with plenty of pics, a thorough review and hopefully good news that my dress did not look as disgusting as i am imagining it does in my head ...
