Dress/cleaning/alterations
Hi Girls, so I went to Filene's yesterday and actually found a dress that I love! I'll post it here when I get a picture, its an Anne Barge dress and it really looked great on.
There is a stain on it though, a brown stain. The company that does alterations/cleaning for Filene's Basement gave us an estimate to remove the stain (they would need to clean the whole dress and then press it) and for simple alterations, and it came to over $500! That seems ridiculous to me.
My mom and I want to get the stain removed sooner than later.. we are going to shop around @ dry cleaners and wedding salons. Does anyone have any advice/places they can recommend?
And, how about for alterations? Its nothing major but obviously I want a reputable place.
