hi everyone just a quick question do you have to get dressed up for a civil marriage at city hall ?

Some people do, others don't. my co-worker wore a white pant suit and she looked great. Her finace wore a black suit.

it's the bride and groom's preference... i've seen it done both ways... i've seen it with the girl wearing a white gown... and i've seen it with jeans and a tee shirt

It really depends on how you want to dress. I've seen people in jeans and t-shirt and others with a dress and flowers.
