dresser question...

dresser question...

DH and I bought a really great dresser from IKEA...solid pine...but we needed a little something else...so I bought a similar looking lingerie chest - the wood matched, but the hardware did not (i figured that I could always change the hardware)

but its still not enough for us...we need another piece...so my question is...there are 2 dressers that we like that match what we already have...which one should we get...they are both about the same size...

the woods will match perfectly...but the hardware will only match one...the dresser or the lingerie chest...

sorry I can't find the pics on the IKEA site... :(

Oooooohhhh I like them both! But IMO if you already have a dresser, I would go with the lingerie chest. I've actually never seen that before and it may add a little something to the room.. JMO

Hope your decision is an easy one!

Re: dresser question...

I knew my post was confusing...

we already have a tall dresser and the lingerie chest...but the hardware does not match....now we want to get a smaller dresser...but do not know which hardware we should get...both lines have a dresser we are looking for...one is cheaper...but I'm not sure why...b/c they are both very solidly made...

I would go with whichever piece you could easily change out the hardware - if that makes sense. It looks like the hardware for the lingerie chest would be harder to match, were you to go and find hardware to change out the existing dresser, whereas round knobs seem easier to find? NOT that I think you *need* to or should match - I like a more eclectic look personally - but if you were concerned with matching, I'd purchase the dresser that mached the existing piece with the easier hardware to match/find.
