I am going out for the first time to look for dresses. I am SO excited. Any reccomendations on places? I live in Babylon. I was thinking of Village Bridal and Bridal Reflections. I have a good idea as to what I think I want. . Does anyone know if an appointment is needed? Also, what should I look out for? I

Re: dresses!!
ALWAYS make an appointment, it ensures someone is available to help you for at least an hour.
I also recommend Lillette's in Baldwin.
I wore clothes that were easy to change in an out of... and at the advice of the other women here... no thong that day.
They'll give you a strapless bra, and have shoes in case you want to get the full-effect.
Keep an open mind and don't be afraid to try on dresses you thought you'd never wear...
Bring pics or at least dresses and style numbers of dresses you'd like to try on.

If you dont have an appointment, can you still browse and try things on or do you need the staff to help you?

some places will let you browse if you don't have an appt but some won't. err on the side of caution and make an appt so you don't get turned away.
