Yesterday we were off of course due to the holiday so I made FH watch a wedding story with me yesterday morning. One of the ladies had on a beautiful tulle gown. He then made a comment that wedding gowns have that same boring look- Cinderella. He then started looking through my Martha Stewart Wedding magazine and he picked out a dress that he liked and it as very straight and tight fitting.
I wanted to cry. I am so worried he will not like my dress. Originally I was going to go with a more slink dress, but that is how I always dress, for that one day out of the year I wanted to look like a princess.
My dress is beautiful to me. It is sexy, yet princessy. It is on the david's bridal website style 2295E.
Sorry for the vent, but one more thing to worry about looking good for my guy.

He will forget every preconceived notion he has about 'cinderella' dresse when he sees you walking down the aisle! I would remind him that he doesn't know what your dress looks like and that he should watch what he says! (in a nice, joking way you can tell him!) Don't worry!!!!!

Keisha, I agree 100% with Rachel! He will forget what he said when he sees you. What do guys know about dresses anyway! LOL.
Besides, maybe he was trying to get you to tell him what yours looks like?

He is going to be so excited about getting married that your dress will just be a white blur. Don't worry. Many guys say they want their bride to wear something sleek, but deep down, most guys like the traditional wedding gown. You have plenty of years together to wear form fitting gowns, wear the dress you always dreamed of. And remember that how you carry yourself will make all the difference. He may say he likes a more form-fitting dress, but he may just like the sex appeal you exude when your wear one.

BTW, I just looked at your dress on the David's website, and it's Beautiful! It's not all poofy and tully, so I don't think he would notice even if he was trying to! I mean, really, he's a boy, what do they usually notice anyway? Haha, j/k!

Don't worry, he will be so psyched when he sees you. My FH did the same thing at first, he kept picking out these sexy sheaths...which look nice-but if I dyed it black I could where it to an event later...I wanted something different. When he saw me in it though (yes he went with me)...he loved it, and mostly he loved me in it
Besides, I looked at your dress, and the halter is very sexy

Kysha don’t worry. When he sees you on your wedding day he won’t know what tulle, sillk, Cinderella stye or material is. He will be too GOO GOO GAA over you and your beauty!

I showed a picture of my dress to my FI and he wasn't to crazy about it, he kept telling me he has to see me in it. He will love you and think you are beautiful regardless of what dress you wear and don't worry what he thinks about the dress now, when it is all put together you will look like the princess you want to be and he will treat you that way.

don't worry hon - he might like the look on them but he will be dazzled by you on your wedding day - he would probably die if he knew that what he said worries you now...it was an innocent comment that i am sure he didn't mean! your dress is gorgeous and you picked it b/c you loved it - well, he loves you and therefore, by default, will also love the dress - or anything you might wear!!!

Kysha - was that the Halloween wedding? It came on at 10:30 am yesterday on TLC...the one before that was the African-American couple where the FH was military? Going to Europe?
That Halloween wedding was weirrrrrrd, IMO. She looked gorgeous though. Don't worry about FH's reaction...he will be bowled over no matter what.

Yes that Halloween wedding was weird. I do not know if I would have the guts to go through with that . I did love her dress, I would not have gone as poufy as she did, but I thought she was beautiful!!!!
As for the first miltary couple- I did not like her look at all. She was sooo plain IMO.
