Two days ago, I went to try on dresses and fell in love with one. I would've said yes to the dress right then and there but it's about 600 over my budget which I absolutely cannot go over even by a dollar. Does anyone know of any stores/sites where I can get this specific dress (Sottero and Midgley's Suzette) inexpensively? I've already tried oncewed.com, knot.com's classifieds, and tradesy.com. What complicates it even more is that I'm very tiny so I can't wear sample dresses and it's one that can't be hemmed. I've literally been in tears over this so any help would be enormously appreciated. Thanks!

The only thing I can say is if you swing up to Vows in Massachusetts, they'll probably have it discounted.

I have an appointment there in August but I'm pretty sure they tend to only carry sample sizes which are too long for me.

It can be hemmed. This is my dress that I wore 3 weeks ago. I am 5'3' and wore 2' heels.
I tried it on in a store and they said it would cost extra to hem. I went to a local store and they ordered it at a lower price, give me a discount for being a repeat customer (went there for bridesmaids dresses for my sister's wedding last July) and did not charge extra to hem.

Most dresses can be hemmed, they can take it up from the waist so you dont loose any detail on the bottom. Maybe try a trunk sale.

Try RK Bridal. Call 1st to check to see that they have the dress 1st.

I'd see if you can get it at a trunk sale. And to be honest, most consultants can give you the same discount even outside of the trunk show, you just have to ask and threaten to walk out. They'd rather make the sale than have you walk out.

Thanks! They were pretty nice at the salon I went to but it's an hour away from where I live. Maybe if I go back they'll give me something off. I was going to try to get to RK Bridal today just because they have the dress on their site and maybe they'll have something I'll love just as much... don't think so but you never know.

I would still call to make sure RK has it in stock, there was a dress on their website that I wanted to try and when I got there they didn't carry the sample.
