Re: dresses under $1000

Mine was under $600 before alterations & tax from the Bridal Garden in Bethpage. It is by Jasmine Collection. (same as kazee525)

They just unveiled their new dresses, I believe they are mostly in the same range as mine, and they defintely carry at least soem of them at RK & the Bridal Garden. You should check out their website:

Jasmine bridal

ETA: I think I like the spring & older styles better actually, but you should still check Jasmine out. I'm not sure how much the Coture collection runs.

Also, I think Eden Bridal dresses are under $1000-they have some at RK Bridal.

My gown was $699 and I love it. It just doesn't have the designer name tag.

PC Mary's has some very nice dresses under $1000. Mine was just over 600. So realistically, you can get a very nice dress for under $1,000.

Nora-which Mary's gown do you have...I am considering buying one as well...what are your thoughts about the quality compared to others (preferably more high end dresses)? TIA!

Try Casablanca dresses. The woman at the dress shop where I bought my dress commented on how you 'get a lot for your money' with casablanca gowns.

Try trunk sales and sample sales, too.

I got a very beautiful, unique dress for about $700.

I went to Angel Bride in Islip. Do not let the awful awning they have outside scare you (I almost did not go in)....they are so incredibly nice and friendly inside, and have a nice selection of dresses. Its small though. I loved the fact that there was NO pressure to buy, and they told me to go and look and other stores before I made a decision.

They are so sweet at Angel Bride! It was my stop after Adrienne's, and what a great difference.

Anyway, my first dress was a sample from the Wedding Center and cost $100, and had never been tried on (discontinued as soon as they got it in). Alas, I changed my mind about it, but still a very good deal. They have TONS there discontinued from every maker--Mori Lee, Maggie, etc--all $100.
