I went to Bridal Reflections and they were way more than I wanted to spend, and a bit pushy. I went to The Wedding Center in Commack and they had the dress I wanted for $1K less. Has anyone bought from there? I read about bad experiences about Bridal Reflections and TWC.... any recommendations for alterations? If I get the dress at TWC, I would want to go somewhere else for alterations. Problem is that I am out of town and am only up in NY every once in a while. Recommendations?

I grew up across the street from there, my parents still live there and i went to high school with the owner's daughters
They are wonderful, helpful people with a great reputation. They have good prices, a variety of styles and I will be getting my dress from there as well (once i start shopping)

if you do a search on them, you'll find mixed reviews, and many negative ones concerning their customer service when it comes to ordering dresses.
i know a girl who wanted to order her dress from there and the sales people were very rude to her. but she couldn't find her gown else where and HAD to get it there. so when they were doing the measuring for the dress, they were trying to order the gown 2 sizes TOO BIG. she wore a street size 8, and usually you have to go up about 2 sizes for wedding gowns, (so she'd have to order a 12 or so) and they were trying to get her to order a 16! she argued with the saleswoman about the size and told her the 12 would be fine, especially since felt like the dress fit kind of big anyway..and the sales woman actually made a comment of 'well, you're not really a size 2 sweetie'
she orderd the size she wanted and it came in and was big on her anway! imagine if she ordered what they wanted. she didn't get it altered there
bottomline--make sure you look good and hard before you order from them. some ppl have good experiences and others do NOT.
call Phyllis at Bridal Elegance, she might be able to get it for you cheaper! (she's under Bridal Gowns in the Vendors section on here)
