I got plain ivory printable placecards with a simple embossed border from staples- any ideas to dress up the cards or the place card display?? Thanks!

I just looked at your profile...are you getting married at the vineyards? If so, here's what my friend did, and it was great...
She took corks from wine bottles...hot glued the little brass tabs to them to hold the place card itself up, and then to cover the brass tab so you couldn't see it, she hot glued tiny little vine leaves she bought in the craft store. A little time consuming, but a GREAT display...

I think I did my profile before I set a date and never changed it...
My wedding is 10/13. It's at a vineyard so I guess it's an outdoors, vineyard theme. I was thinking of doing something with flowers, either attaching small flower appliques or something or just decorating the table with flowers...

what about using flowers displayed with grapes & flowers on the table?
Well, if you don't want to do too much work, how about instead of flowers, gluing the tiny vine leaves to the cards, and a nice display of grapes or something in the middle of the cards. I think that would look great at the vineyards.

LOL Jennbaby!! Great minds think alike - we were writing the same type of idea at the same time!
Wow ...great suggestions! I'm going to go the craft store..(Micheal's I guess???) to look for the leaves to glue on..
I pretty sure the vineyard can put real grapes and vines on the table...they're doing it for the cake.

you can try to use rubber stamps of vines or grapes they come in varous shapes , designs.. and use various ink colors...
check michael's.. there is a store in manhattan called the ink pad.

I hot-glued small flowers to my plain seating cards. I just clipped the floral part off a small bundle of flowers I got at Michaels. You can see them near the bouquet, which is rather dried out, since I took these photos a day after the wedding, wanting to make sure I got a shot of all the pieces I worked so hard on The program was done on my computer - the favor was 4 small chocolates from a specialty chocolate shop near my parents home in AZ.
