does anyone , if I will be able to get through to rk bridal on 39th and 8th from the midtown tunnel tomorrow because of the UN street closers?
If you can, it's going to take a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG time. It's insane. I'd strongly recommend taking the LIRR. You can walk to RK from there.

another choice is the 59th st bridge- thats what FH and I always take into the city. Its high up enough that the UN closings don't effect it too much. Then just scoot down 60th st to the west side.

it's like 4 blocks from Penn. not sure where you're coming from but you can also take the subway to 6th ave/34th st.

That area sucks to drive to on any day. I used to work a block away, and it's always packed w/ commercial vehicles, cabs, etc., that even finding parking is a pain and if you pay for it it's $$$. I'd go to Kew Gardens/Union Tpke station, park your car and take the E train straight to 34th or 42nd
Do NOT I repeat Do NOT drive into the city this week. I work here in Midtown and it has been a nightmare getting in & going home. took me over 2 hrs to get in on Monday & last night it took over 2 hrs to get home. They have so many streets closed off & blocked especially around 38th street. Not to mention the bomb threat that closed 5th ave down yesterday for like 40 min!!!!! take the train girl!
