DRIVING..anyone feel like this?

Is there anyone else out there who hates to drive? It makes me a nervous wreck. I have had my license for over7 years now but im still hating it. I dont drive on the highway (which i get tortured for) and i hate driving in bad weather. I have a 40 minute drive to and from work each day and if i didnt love my job so much, I so would have quit a long time ago!

Only bringing this up cause of the weather for tomorrow...im dreading the commute

I hate driving in NY. Fi's old car was a 83 delta made by oldsmobile. It was a tank. Took me longer to park then to drive that car. I had to drive it on the jackie robinson and I thought I was going to die.

He now has a 4 runner and I get so nervous with it. I feel like I am so high, i cant park it, and i get so nervous when cars are double parked. I feel like I am going to hit them.

Then the potholes..UH!! I just hate driving in NY. People are crazy. Outside of NY, i love to drive.

I used to absolutely hate it (bad trip from upstate in the middle of the night during a torential rainstorm spooked me very badly) I was just starting to enjoy driving again and bam, we got a new car. So now I have whole new adjustment period to contend with.

I actually like driving (when it's not rush hour) because it actually relaxes me. I listen to music, etc..

It depends... I like being in the car alone, but I hate driving with other people in the car - I don't like feeling responsible for other people god forbid something was to happen.

You're not alone! After I was in an accident in 1998 I NEVER wanted to drive again! I panic when I drive and was even put on anti-anxiety meds bc of it. (had to go off-sooo many side effects!) People are so reckless and couldn't care less if they hit you and injure you-as long as they can drive 100 mph and weave in and out of lanes. So annoying! Where are the cops when you need them?

I don't mind driving but I hate driving far when I am unfamiliar with the roads especially if its bad weather & dark.

I dont mind driving when its not long distances. It also relaxes me and gives me alone time to think out my days plans (even if my little cutie is in the back seat )

Noreen-drive safely. dont pay attention to the looneys that BEEP BEEP all day and that drive like wackos. Drive as slow as you need to, and think about your safety, dont swerve over if another guy is in the wrong spot. Watch out for your car and yourself.

I loved to drive when I first got my license (and before, too) until I got into a car accident. Unfortunately, the accident happened right at the highway exit to my house so I have to pass the spot almost every time I go anywhere. At first I would get really nervous and almost to the point of an anxiety attack but passing the same spot day in/day out made me finally get over it! But I still don't like driving at night by myself...

I hate driving when its icy out. I drove home from my old job in Queens and the roads were bad one night and it was even worse on the side streets to get home. I was so scared and I had this idiot driving right on my bumper.What is wrong with people?

I'm the same as eternitywaits... i HATE driving with others in my car! and I hate driving in NY. I always make FH drive.

I love to DRIVE! I used to drive everyday from Glendale to school in Hauppauge. Now I live on LI but I still love to drive

I actually used to like to drive, but for 3 yrs in a row I was hit from behind once a year (I felt like I have a big target painted on the back of my car). I never got really hurt (minor whip-lash), but since the last one, about 14 months ago, I have been so afraid in the car. I am not too bad when I am driving, but if I am a passenger in the car I am literally petrified. It drives my DH crazy. It's not just him though, anyone else driving scares me so much, I guess it is the 'I have no control' thing with that. I really feel like I am haveing anxiety attacks in the car when someone else is driving.
