My older sister (she'll be 31 in January) has gradually lost vision in her left eye over the last two weeks. She can't even see light now. She went to the eye doctor yesterday and they told her, her eye is healthy and they couldn't find any damage to it. Also, she has a numbness in her legs and if feels like pins and needles when she taps them. Our grandmother died of MS so we are all jumping to conclusions and my sis has been crying every night about it. She has an appointment with a neurologist on Friday, but we won't be getting the results for a least a couple of days after that. Her PCP checked her blood pressure which is good and tested her for diabetes which was negative. What else could be causing these symptoms?
TIA, Kelly

Re: Dr./Nurses please come in...
I'm not a dr or nurse. But I just wanted to let you know that my prayers are with your sister. I hope everything is ok.

Re: Dr./Nurses please come in...
definitely sounds like a neurological problem. See what the neurologist says. I'm sure he'll do a bunch of tests. My recommendation....have her go with a list of questions. Don't be intimidated by the doc. You are there for answers. You'll have to wait for results of the tests, but get as much info as you can beforehand. Good luck to your sis. She is in my prayers!

I'm really sorry to hear this. I believe it's a neurological problem as well.
I would suggest doing some research on Myasthenia Gravis - it's a 'relative' to MS, and hard to detect, but commonly misdiagnosed as MS.
i am so sorry to hear about your sister - i am going to recommend she see a neurooptomologist in addition to a neurologist i see dr david schlessinger he is in hauppauge- he literally saved my vision when it started to go from the IH a few years back.
