Dropped Waist Wedding Dress wearing Hoop Skirt Brides...-x-post

I figured I'd have better luck asking the 2010 ladies since most of you are already married.

Where did you ladies getting your hoop skirt for the dropped waist wedding dress? I l know ebay has a ton, but they all start high up on the waist. Have any of you tried on a hoop skirt w/ a dropped waist wedding dress?

I definitely want a hoop skirt and would prefer to have the 6 hoop one. But, I noticed that some of these, (well almost all the hoop skirts), start higher up on the waist.

I came across one that had was called a gripper hoop skirt. I attached a pic below. It's only 4 bones though and starts a bit too low. I would definitely need something a bit higher.
I've searched ALL the threads on hoop skirts and nothing addresses this issue...

thanks ladies!

I would start by asking your bridal shop. (If you have not already) They should be able to also point you in the right direction!

You could always get this one and just wear it higher up on your torso so that the hoop isn't dropped as low.

I didn't wear a hoop skirt but I did have a dropped wait dress. I got my crinoline slip at Village Bridal in Babylon. It had the elastic top simiar to the one above but not as dropped as the pic above. With my gown, one side was actually heavier than the other so the hoop didn't lay evenly. I had to wear crinoline.

My dress is dropped waist and the hoop actually didn't work with my dress. It wouldn't sit evenly if that makes sense. So I would talk to the salon and see what they say. The waistline was higher but it didn't show on my dress.

Thanks for all your help ladies.

When I got my dress, I had asked about wearing a hoop skirt with the dress. The consultant said it could be done, etc...but she seemed a bit hesitant in her response. I wanna get an idea of what would work. The bottom of my dress is heavy.

I wonder, are built in hoops possible?
