Drs and Hospitals??

If your dr is affiliated with more then one hospital do you get to choose which one you want to deliver at? Thanks

I believe my dr is affliated with 2 hospitals, and I could pick which one.
They put me down for one and at my last visit the nurse practitioner asked if that one was ok, and I said yes.

Im trying to choose between Winthrop and Good Samaritan in West Islip. Im like 5 min from Good Samaritan and about 20 min from winthrop just cant decide. Ive heard good and bad about both. Thanks again

I delivered at Winthrop and it was a WONDERFUL experience, if that helps you any. I'm sure they are both wonderful hospitals... I guess you have to get opinions from some people and just decide what is more important to you, make a list and you'll figure it out I'm sure.

Being sorta in the medical field, I'd go with Winthrop. They deliver more babies so if you have any trouble, god forbid, they'd be better able to handle it...

ETA: And don't worry about the distance...you won't need to rush to the hospital when you're in labor...I tell all my friends to relax, watch a movie, and take a shower before going...
