If your hair is very thick, course and/or dry/damaged, please let me know what shampoo/conditioner works best for you!

I love Biolage but I want to switch it up for a while.

I have similar hair and I use Ice Cap shampoo which I get at my salon. It's a little pricey but I LOVE it and I can get away without washing for a day.

I have thick hair and lately I have been having it 'thinned out' with a certain razor type scissors. Works Great !

I use Shwartzkoff shampoo & conditioner. I get it from the salon.

I tried to use other products and nothing worked, my hair was like straw. I switched back to Hair , Tail and Mane conditioner. What a difference. My hair is very thick and curly, but this makes it moisiturized and it is tamed from it and looks great when I use it.

I rotate my products. This month I am using Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo and Conditioner.
Not sure if your's is color treated but mine is and it gets especially dry.

My hairdresser said not to use conditioner all the time because it takes away the color faster because cond are acidic. so I use a leave in cond the other times

I like Pantene Smooth n Sleek or L'Oreal Vive. Finesse is nice too.

I use Goldwell Shampoo and Conditioner. My salon sells it and my highlighted hair color is by the same company.

That is what I do each time I get a haircut, it's great

I do this too! My stylist has never touched my hair with regular scissors. It takes SO much of the bulk out.

I use Biolage too, but I change it up with

ARTec Texture Line Smoothing Shampoo & Cond. VERY thick, smells great, and moisturizes without making my head look 'greasy' - ew.

I got 2 huge bottles from Ulta (shampoo & conditioner) for $25, then 20% off with the coupon on their website/in Sunday's flyer.

Love that stuff!!

I use cheap stuff, but it works. Garnier Fructis shampoo for color treated hair and conditioner for the same. I have fine dry hair and it works great.

for those of you that do the razor thing to get some of that thickness out, i dunno, i'm interested but a little scared. . .
should I DO it?

My hair is REALLY thick and impossible to deal with unless I have TIME - but, I'm scared if it was gone I might miss it. lol

YES! Do it!!! You will not regret it. My hair was so thick and bushy before I had this done. After the first time using the razor I was AMAZED. It has taken so much time off styling and I can actually get it to look straight and shiny.
Make sure your stylist is familiar with this technique. Most should be now since it's getting very popular.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I have really thick, curly/frizzy hair. I've been using garnier fructis smooth and sleek, its inexpensive and makes my hair really soft and manegable! ialso use the smoothing serum after I towel dry. They are about $3-$4 dollars each. I've tried using the more expensive stuff, I don't really find it works any better. OH! and the garnier stuff smells really good too!
