Dry Shampoo?

Anyne ever use dry (poweder) shampoo? I have curly hair and I like to wear it straight once in a while. I like it to last more than one day but I hate not washing my hair ... does anyone use those dry/powder shampoos?

If so, what brand?

i used it once- it's kinda gross.

I buy a 'do-over' spray from KMS.... spray it into the roots, then just lift and blow dry...it's like a quickie wash.

I'm looking at the bottle - it's called KMS do-over cleansing spray. It's a clear bottle w/ stripes on the top. I bought it at Ulta - used a 20% off, and it wasn't too $$$. Works great!!!

Try Bumble & Bumble - It's a talcum powder for hair. Hair smells good, and hair looks fresh between washings!

Never heard of dry shampoo....

hair powder
dry shampoo
powdered shampoo

I've heard it called a few things, but yes, Bumble & Bumble is one of the companies I heard of that makes it.

I never heard of it. Is there a benefit for your hair to use powder than liquid? thanks.

Re: Dry Shampoo?

nope just allows you to keep the style (for me straight hair versus curly) for longer than one-day. If I wet my hair even a drop my curl reactivates so dry shampoo or hair powder whatever it's called is supposed to clean the hair without water.
You put it on and brush it through and it removes the natural oil and hair products and leaves it clean... supposedly.

I just was wondering if anyone actually used it and was successful.

I use the powder..I have curly hair and when I blow it out I use it..it soaks up any grease before it spreads down the root.. I do an hour and a half blow job, and I have to get atleast 3-4 days out of it

Which one do you use Janice? Where do you buy it?
It also take me 1-1/2 hours to blow dry my hair.

Does the color Red or Black have any impact on the color of your hair? I was blond and just dyed it light brown on Saturday ... should I use red or black?

Re: Dry Shampoo?

I use red because I am a redhead..but my sister bought a generic version at jimmy's in the city and it worked fine to, I used a light hair one.
