dubai?

so now the FH is on this kick where he doesnt want to do a european cruise (starting in spain, going through italy, greece, back to italy) but wants to go to dubai. anyone ever been? of course he's only sending me links to positive stuff, but if someones been there, i'd like to know how it really is. tia

I've never been there, but my company has an office there and I've never heard anything bad about it. I think it's more 'western'

I would definitely check out what it's like for a woman to travel over there before I make any decisions.

i heard it's amazing but really the only thing you can do there is shop. they put a lot of money into building really nice places to live and hotels and stuff and i THINK their biggest mall has like a ski resort in it or something crazy like that. it's all man-made attractions which can be cool if it's something you enjoy.

I've heard it's really interesting (my boss went) but that there are cranes EVERYWHERE, since they are building it up immensely. She also said it's very 'city,' so if you wanted to hit the beach, it's probably not the best spot.

how long are you going to be here in may and when. i'm sure nick and i will go to kansas at some point
