Wacky, you can cut it in layers. I just did, but don't have a digital camera to show you a picture...

If you do short layers, and keep the hair on the top a bit longer, that's how mine is. At the back, its just above the shoulder line.

It's so frsutrating but there's very little you can do to change curly hair. Whether I spend $100 on a haircut, or $10 once it's dry it always looks the same!!!! I try to style it up or down to make it a little different.

I feel the same way too - no matter what I do with my curly hair, it always looks the same. I'm going to get it cut next weekend but of course nobody will be able to tell!
I like to blow it out every once in a while. What a pain though.

Wacky maybe you could color it or do some highlights instead of doing a different cut.

a girl at my job had it done and even after class it is straight. she dies it too and it looks healthy. I am too chicken too.

I get so bored with my hair too. It's been a year since i started highlighting. Next time I go I am going a little lighter for a change.
