Please post or FM me your contract packages with Duet. I booked them last week, and from what I've been seeing, I think I'm getting ripped of a bit. Maybe not, but I need a basis for comparison. I'm paying $3700 for 2 photogs, 10 hrs, e-pix, NO VIDEO. By the way, all the pix are at Giorgios because that's where the wedding is. Plus they need to be fed and there's a clause that it's customary to tip them.
Please let me know what you think. I just can't be uncomfortable with one of my main vendors.
Thanks.
Kathy

Re: Duet
No parents albums at all. I did no negotiating which was my fault. If I already signed the contract, is it too late to go back and talk to them?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Duet
if you already signed the contract it may be too late, but you can still try. WE met with them and i negiotated at the first appt. but went home without booking to think it over. I decided I wanted extras, parent albums, engagement shoot, i want portraits for the parents. I went back for a second appt and negiotated more. if you negoitate you get a lot more thrown in

Re: Duet
Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'll go see Eric and see what he'll do, he seems like a nice guy. Like I said, I went alone, and did no negotiating. By the way, I got one 10x10 album 30 pages (up to 60 images), an 11x14, and 8x10, a 5x7, and a 20x24. 60 Thank yous. No parents albums, he wanted $500 additional for each of these, which I thought was outrageous. We paid an additional $200 for the epics but that's included in the $3700.

Re: Duet
I was there that day when you were talking to Eric. I was the one patiently waiting for about a half hour + while you were with him. As much time as you spent, I'm shocked that you weren't negotiating.
Also, I think you tricked many brides by saying that he only gave you so & so and then at the end saying that you got a couple of extras.

Re: Duet
I'm not sure what you mean when you say I tricked many brides, as far as I'm concerned what I got weren't 'extras', they were standard. What I was saying is for what I'm paying, others are getting videoes done for about the same money.
If you need any further explanation, please FM me. I certainly assure you that it is not my intention, on this website or in general, to 'trick' anyone.

Re: Duet
I'm paying significantly less than that for 2 photog's for 12 hours each, plus videographer for 12 hours (no parent albums, but it includes TY's and a bunch of 5x7's).
I basically told them what I wanted and what I would pay. They met my price demand.
ETA - I didn't do e-pics either.

Re: Duet
Try Celestial, we met with him and hes such a reular down to earth guy. Very nice, and extremely reasonable. We are paying 3, 500 for a bride and groom digital book, 2 parent books, e pictures, 75 thank you cards(digital prints) a 16X20 enlargment, all proofs on cd with the rights to reprint them, the digital mini book, 2 photographers, all day with no charge for over time, and you can view your prints online the next day. He posts them on a site for your guests to see. tehre are no extra charges for touch ups and handcoloring. We shopped around and we really liked this guy! You get hard copies of your proofs 1 week after the wedding, and the books in 6 weeks. Hope this helps
