DUET

Hi... I was wondering if anyone knew what the actual photographers & videographers wear when they are at your wedding? In some proofs I've seen posted, i've seen the photographers in button down shirts... no tie or jacket. I was under the impression that they wore tuxedos or a suit to the wedding to blend in. Does anyone know the answer to this & can you request they dress up??

I don't know that you can request a dress up. Here's what they dressed like at our wedding

they have to run around all night... you want them to be comfortable when doing their job... dont worry, at my friends wedding, they were a pleasure to work with, very polite, and got the job done! no one is really going to notice their attire unless they look like total slobs, which they dont...

I asked Eric this question actually..
he said 'Suit Jacket', then I asked him is it black, he said 'Sure'.

So I think you might have to specifically ask the photographers to wear black (or whatever you prefer)

I wouldn't care much about sneakers (they should be comfortable..), but maybe you can ask them to wear all black?

I would specify their attire in the contract. No jackets are fine, but they can wear comfy shoes that are not sneakers! No sneakers! It's a formal event. Even the wait staff are in black shoes that are not sneakers!

Make them write it out in the contract.
They're very flexible & understanding, so the attire would not be a problem!

Thanks girls.. I guess all black would blend in but I just don't want them to look messy... which i'm sure they won't... When the time gets closer I will let them know..& i'll let Jay know at our engagement shoot since he'll be the head photographer there. I just remember at my friend's wedding that the photographers dressed up.. so that is what made me think of this. I guess the only reason i noticed this was because I was in the bridal party... once we were in the reception.. I didn't even notice they were there...
