duet

I am meeting with Duet today at 5pm, any advice on what I should ask? Their website is sooo vague! Should I request anyone in particular?

who are you meeting with. We met with Eric. Keep in mind that he has a somewhat heavy accent. I'm fine with accents and have no problem but just wanted to let you know ahead of time.

I love going to their studios though! It's so comforting and warm (with goldfish in the pond inside).

I don't think about asking for anything specific is that important with him cuz he pretty much covered everything before we had a chance to ask. If you are interested in video make sure you ask him about it cuz FH and i forgot and had to go back to look.

They are pretty cut and dry. Ask about Thank you Cards and make sure they throw in the Engagement Shoot.

I don't know who I am meeting with, I spoke to someone with a heavy accent and I could understand him fine. I will definatly bring up the video. I wish Fh could go with me I am going alone so chances are we will be going back no matter what.

Will do. Do you know if they do the fold over type thank you's or the old style with the wallet size pics inserted?

Re: duet

good luck!!!

some questions to ask any photographer:

how pics do they average?
are the rights to the pics included?
how many hours is included?
ask about the albums...how many pics in each?

Re: duet

Good to know!

I never thought to ask about the rights to the pics. Do you mean if they are marked or not?

Also does anyone know do they do actual proofs or only a cd?

Re: duet

They do both

i'm getting....

12x12 acrylic album with 75-80 pics
2 parent albums
all proofs on high res cd
4x6 proofs
engagement shoot and 20xsomething size pic to display at the reception
umm....
11x14's and all that stuff
full day
2 photographers
i think thats it
no watermarks or anything on proofs.

NEGOTIATE. NEGOTIATE. NEGOTIATE. Eric is great. He will give you alot of stuff that's not included in their standard packages if you ask.

Things to ask for:

Extra time for photographers
E-pics
Thank yous
Special Pages in album (if you like those metallic type pages - you'll see when you get there. I love them)
And anything you consider important.

Good luck!

Re: duet

When you ladies say 'FULL DAY' what does that mean.

I have 1 photog for 10 hours and the other photog and video for 9 hours. Duet wouldn't give me more without paying extra.

TIA
