Has anyone had to pay extra for 'Jay's package?' I am getting married in sept 09 and they said he will be at the NYC location at that time so to have him in LI would be about 600 extra! I went with Sam and hope I will love his work...

I knew alberto is more expensive but not Jay. I originally went with sam but after reading and looking at his pics more I realized I wanted more creativity so I changed to danny.

I chose Sam and he is so great and easy to work with. Our Epics came out awesome. You made a good choice!!!

we had sam and we were pleased. we had a great mix of traditional photos with some more creative ones. you can view my review to see some of his work.

We are thinking about booking with Duet. A lot of girls on here are saying you get a lot for your money...I don't see it.
They are charging us extra for every little thing:
Engagement session: $200 500 Proofs - $200 Paren'ts albums - $200 each ($600 in total) (this all adds up to $1000 more for me)
My friends have gotten all of this thrown in and more and have only been quoted about $1000 more.
One friend had unlimited hours Everything I just listed above Baby pictures session (when that time comes) ALL PROOFS PLUS CD 4 'bragging' albums 12 x 18 picture (not 11x 14) and her album holds up to 85 pictures where duet is only giving us 60.
Are they really worth it? Looks like they are not giving us any extras.

I feel like you get a lot of for your money but my package didn't come with that because I feel like they are a waste.
epics I don't feel are necessary Shutterfly you can print the 500 proofs for $60 and I feel as though unless your parents are paying for your wedding they should by their own album or you can make one on shutterfly

It all depends on wat u want to spend. we got a basic package and welled n dealed a little wiht the price but we got 1 traditonal photogher for 10 1/2 hours, 1 photojurnalism photographer for 9 hours, bridal album up to 60 images, 2 parent alumbs 24 images, 1- 11x12, 2-8x10, 3- 5x7, online proofing & Photo libary & 80 thank yous and the total is 3300 after taxes agian i did alot of perusing with eric but i got all i wanted for the prce i wanted.. .Oh and we are using SAM. HTH

After many visits with many photogs.. Duet had the best packages.. we did a package that included so many things:
Epic session anywhere we wanted 150 epics digital. 11x20 sign in board of epic for wedding 10 hours 2 photogs Over 600 printed proofs 2 disks with all digital images, plus the 1 disk of edited images album with 60 pics 3 parent albums with 24 pics 8x10, 11x20, and DVD (4 copies)
all of this was half the price of what it would have been at other photogs... and we used Jays team and he was great! I have some proofs in my photos... check them out!
