Duet brides!

I am meeting with Duet tonight. Any pointers of what I should ask? I have only met with one-man photography studios as of yet.

If you have any feedback (both pos and neg) I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, if you have a photog you'd recommend... I am looking for photo journalistic style with someone who does awesome retouching/effects.

You will enjoy meeting with them...they have a bunch of books showing the different photogs so it is a very personal choice - some are more artsy - some more traditional. I've never heard a bride disappointed in any of them. We're having Sam. Good luck.

I booked with Alberto. Just dont be afraid to ask for extras cuz they will throw them in most of the time. I am getting extra 5x7s for my family, an extra 8x10, and wallet size pics plus an engagement shoot

I had booked with TJ his portfolios are awesome but due to a date change i am now booked with Nick who also does beautiful work. They will give you a price try to work them down. Are you meeting them in the Manhattan office, if you are its tougher to work with them because they have to keep calling the office in LI. If you can't work the price see what they can offer you like E-pics if you want them, thank you cards etc

I used Alberto and his team was amazing. Super friendly helped all of us with our dresses and the guys with their flowers the whole day...it was super nice.

Dont be afraid to ask for extras....they will come up with a great package.

Best photographer I found who does photo journalistic style and awesome retouching is G.E. Masana. I saw Duet when I was looking and they were okay I wasn't all that impressed but I've had frineds have problems with studios who hire out other photographers.

I met with Duet about a month ago and I really liked their work. I agree that you should try to get them to throw in some extra stuff. I haven't booked with them yet but they are top on my list. Good luck!
