Duet Brides.....

Just curious what you ladies are paying? Im thinking of checking them out first! Looking for a basic package and possible video... I guess I would like a heads up in case it's going to be way over my budget!

We're paying $5300 for:

1 - 20x30
1 - 16x20
engagement photos/photo shoot
engagement photo sign board (16x20)
700 proofs printed
1500-2000 proofs on cds
3 dvds of video
1 unedited video
12 8x10s
3 5x7s
2 parent albums with 24 photos
1 bridal album with 70-80 photos
2 photographers - 1 posed and 1 photojournalist
all rights to photos

We negotiated a TON with them. Their basic package starts at like $2000 I think (but doesn't include video).

The only thing is that the price they give you is only good for THAT DAY. As long as you know that then I'd say go see them and book right away. We went originally (not knowing that the price could go up) and they were the first photog we had seen (and we were seeing two more later that day and one three days later). They originally quoted us $5100 and then when we went back, the price went up to $5300 b/c apparently two other couples booked the same date as us in the five days we waited to book them. They called it their 'supply and demand' philosophy. I flipped out and got them to throw in 200 more printed proofs b/c I was so annoyed and refused to pay $200 for nothing.

I got basically the same package from Fine-Art and Sherwood-Triart quoted to me for $6500 and $8500 respectively.

- 11 hours
- 2 photogs (also includes 1 assistant)
- all right to photos
- 500 printed proofs
- all proofs (edited and unedited) on cds

we opted out of getting albums or enlragements through them because we are just going to make them on Shutterfly.
