Where are you or have you had your casual day shoot? FI and I are trying to think of someplace really nice and meaningful.. we possibly want to go to longbeach. We dont really know the area over there since we came from queens... anything nice nearby?? BTW - They were so nice about our situation.. since we have a baby.. they said we could make it a family shoot.. some pics of all of us and other of just me and my FH. Isnt that nice?!

I booked with duet, but I dont' think we booked a casual day. Is it something thats included with the standard package or is it an extra? Maybe I just spaced out LOL

its an extra.. its kind of like engagement shots but they also videotape you and add it into the final product of your wedding video.. i think it is $200 extra. I probably wouldnt have done it but the sample video they showed us had it and we thought it was pretty cute.

The casual day shoot is an additional $500. Nicole said that they shot the pics and video in Manhattan.
We may do the casual shoot, it depends on our budget. She said that we need to let her know a month before the wedding if we want it.
ETA: That's the price she told me on Friday. They increased prices as of Jan 1st

We went to the city to the village, south street seaport and times square. I am trying to think of where to go. Maybe central park or something like that. I'll try to think of places.
I am getting the video done but not the pictures, i think it was included.

Well if they are willing to go 2 Manhatten then they will defnitly go to Long beach right?! lol well then Ill most likley go there.. I wasnt sure how far they were willing to travel b/c she was naming all local places.

ps. littlecat i ment to FM you .. thanks so much if it werent for your beautiful pics I probably never would have gone to duet cuz im so damn picky and never thought I could get nice pics at that price... FYI- according to last year's prices, the photo & video package without the casusal day was $3,000 and with the casual day was $3,500. That was for photos and video for the casual day. We decided that we just wanted pictures for the casual day (no video) so that was an additional $200 on top of the $3,000.
We live in Manhattan so we may take pictures here or we may go to a park or beach out on LI. Nicole mentioned some place called the Aboreteem (sp?) that is beautiful- I think it's in the Oyster Bay area. We're probably going to do our's in April or May.
