duet - finished product

duet - finished product

Has anyone actually received their albums and video's and
were you as happy with them as you thought you would be?
So far, it seems everyone is talking about using them, but
havent heard from anyone who has received their album. They are
definitely wonderful to meet, professional, caring, and sounds
like they would do a great job!

When I met with Duet, I asked for references. I was specific and told them I wanted a client from 1 1/2 ago, 1 ago, 6 months, and just recently. They gave me 4 on the spot (every other photographer either looked at me like I was crazy or had to email me the references) and I called all 4 and talked to all of them for about 45 minutes. All were very happy with everything, the video, the memory, the epics, the albums etc... One suggested we get our Tuxes via Duet.

After talking with them I was 99% confident in booking them. Then when I saw littlecats epics and wedding pics the 99% went up to 100%.

I know I've read a lot of people are using Duet on here, but I don't know if I've actually read anyone's reviews of their actual pictures from them. Try doing a search of Duet on this board.

i was wondering the same thing. I went to meet with the people at Duet last night and I loved their work! It was the same if not better than others that I have checked out, and you know that their pricing is very reasonable. I really thought the quality of the video they showed me was good!
The only thing that I was unsure of was that all of their work was 'magazine' style as opposed to having pictures matted on the black paper..that would be extra.

What do you mean, 'magazine' style? I want to look into meeting with them, but I'm scared off the thought of a magazine style album.

Their albums are in the style of a 'coffee-table book' more than a 'magazine style'. This means that their standard album is 11x14 (as opposed to the usual 10x10- although they can do the same style book in a 10x10 format). The pages can hold multiple pictures each and they can be designed in many different ways. Their books aren't the usual one-picture per page flushed or matted.

Personally, we loved their style. We've always seen wedding albums that are 'picture-books' and we found that their's is more of a 'story-book'. Being able to have multiple pictures on a page in different designs allows you to tell a story about the day.

It's definitly worth a visit to check them out! If you like the more traditional style album, they may not be the ones for you. But visit them anyway- it's always great to see new things! Believe me- my fiance was taken aback by their style at first because he has only ever seen the traditional albums in the past but once he started really looking at their style, he fell in love with it.

KAREN, I was at Duet last night!! What time were you there?

They are the 3rd photographer we met with and I can honestly say, third time is a charm (or something like that). We were so impressed with their work, I almost cried watching the video! We weren't even two steps from the building when we looked at each other and said 'we are SO booking them'.

We liked the coffee table/magazine style album. The album style, for future Duet shoppers, is a matter of personal preference and it seemed as though they'd work with you to ensure you get what you want.

We're really excited about working with them. Karen, are you going to book them?

I called them up before. I know they offer a package for a little less if you only get one photographer instead of two. How important do you think it is to have two photographers? I'm not sure what to do.

I agree on the magazine style, I prefer the matted album myself! We are actually getting their matted album and I am really excited about that! If that is what you want, really look into getting it! Duet has been more than accomodating and really willing to work with you! We weren't able to see a sample of the matted, but their pictures are really beautiful and professional, and that was my main concern!

Honestly, one of the reasons that I liked them so much was that they send 2 photographers. Each photographer has 2 cameras (one color and one b&w) so they are really capturing everything!

I didn't even look into a package with 1 photographer but you should ask them if that's what you want.

I BOOKED DUET YESTERDAY
ALSO WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS IS THAT IF YOUR TAKING PICS AT HOME GETTING READY ONE PHOTOGRAPHER GOES TO THE BRIDES HOME AND THE OTHER GOES TO THE GROOMS HOME.

Turns our Raken40 and I were at Duet at the same time last night!!

Aside from the quality and price of the photos, the two photographers is what totally sold us. I always felt like the groom gets jipped out of all the pre-ceremony fuss and I really want to see what was going on at his house before the ceremony.

If it helps anyone, I am picking up my proofs tonight from Duet.

I stopped by there the other night to glance at what was already done and I really loved what I have seen so far.

I will definately post a few when I get a chance.

Thanks to everyone for responding! Sounds like you all had the
same great experience that we had when meeting them. Violet,
you are going to love the video as it was taken at your venue.
Andrewschick, would love to hear from you after you pick up proofs.
Still have not heard from anyone who has their album, but maybe
that's because at that point the newlyweds are no longer on the
chat line. Good luck to everyone in their decision!

I just booked Duet for my July 3oth Wedding!!!! I am so excited. There work is truly beautiful. Thanks to all you girls especially littlecat!!! Your pictres are AWESOME!!I would not have booked them without seeing all your great reviews. I think that there work is so much prettier than the typical posed wedding pictures you usually see.
