I went to both places today and I am totally confused. They are both around the same price, $200 difference. My FH feel in love with Silverfox at the bridal showcase at WM and love speaking with John today. We were there for about 1 hour. He couldn't go with me to Duet so i went alone and was there for about 20 minutes. I love Tj's work from Duet but we both felt comfortable at Silverfox. I havent met Tj yet so I might feel just as comfortable. The difference is Duet is offering us an engagement shoot for free anywhere we want, we want to go to time square. Silverfox will charge us an additional $250 to go to the city. We really dont NEEEED an engagement shoot and wasnt really looking to do one.
The albums are also a little cheaper at Duet and the upgrade to the acrylic cover is $175 cheaper. They also give you a framed signing board for the day of your wedding....any picture from the engagement shoot that you coose.
Ladies give me your opions on both companies. Its either Jodi or John from Silverfox or Tj and another photographer from Duet.

I didn't meet with Silverfox but from the the albums and all the brides that i have seen who have used Duet on here they do truly amazing work. That is great they are giving you a E shoot for free i wasn't offered that when i booked with them.

We are using Jodi from Silverfox. I love her work! We met her at WM when we were showing FHs parents the place. She is really sweet. We did not meet with Duet.

When I first went looking for a photographer I felt the same way that the engagement shoot was a big waste of money but when I went to another photographer 12 night they said that one should always do an engagement shoot. Granted do you need the pictures no, but that is when you and your photographer will bond. They will get to know you better and how you photograph.
I would def spend the extra $250 or see if Silverfox will match with Duet, by throwing it in the package.
btw iam a duet bride and I love their work!!

I am a Duet bride so I have only good things to say about them; however, you seemed to have stressed your comfort level with SilverFox several times. I think that says a lot! I think you should go with the company that you feel more comfortable with. Also, try to see what they can do for you if you bring up Duet's package and pricing.. maybe you can get a better deal out of them that way. Good Luck!

We met with Silver Fox and LOVED them...if it wasn't for us getting a pretty good deal from Patken (we paid for everything ourselves and were trying to really save where we could) we would have probably booked with Silverfox... their video was AMAZING!! Go with your gut...if its a matter of a few $100 -- go whre you felt more comfortable!! we went with ourr gut on most of our choices and we had a PERFECT day..all our vendors turned out to be AMAZING!! good luck!
