I went onto another website, and they were listing Duet and twelthnight as 'budget' vendors. Does anyone agree or disagree with that analysis?

i don't think Duet is a budget vendor...but they do give you a LOT for the money you're spending and yes i would consider 12th night a budget vendor...they're cheaper because they don't have traditional packages with albums

Because of Duet's popularity, their prices have gone up, understandably. But you definitely get a lot for a good price. Duet and 12th night are both excellent photography companies with similar photo styles, but the major difference is the albums. Duet's package comes with standard albums, while 12th night you design your own. I would highly recommend meeting with them and deciding from there. From past work, you cant go wrong with either. Good luck!!

we met with both duet and twelfth night-
we went with duet, because 12th night seems to be a little more do-it-yourself... i dont have an artistic eye... id rather pay for someone to use their expertise for me... as far as budget, duet is budget friendly, but i've seen other companies charge a little less...

I believe I called Duet and they were mosre expensive.
Twelfth Night is the best!! I'm using them and they are awesome!! Lot's of girls here use them.

I think Duet is cheaper when you consider what their package is. When I met with other photographers, they were cheaper, but with extra thank yous, an extra photog, more time and more photos in the album, they would have been twice the price.

I am using 12th night and I don't consider them a budget vendor. When I hear that I think of a place that does a not so great job and is cheap. I just got my e-pics w/12th night and my reason for choosing them was confirmed. The photographers are so talented and they have albums, they are just not part of the packages. I will be ordering my album through 12th night and it will be exactly what I want, not just what is included in a package.

i am using Duet and I consider them a budget vendor...yes they are getting expensive but there work speaks for themselves...
12th night style is the same as Duet but they dont include albums
if you compare Duet to most photographers...they are definitely more reasonable than others
it doesnt hurt to check them both out and decide from there

we used duet... looked at 12 photographers before choosing them, they were not the most $$$ (actually I couldnt stand the most expensive ones-) and they were not the cheapest...they were in the middle... we were able to upgrade our albums, get everything we could possibly want from Duet (some others were not willing to do some stuff) for a good price...

We're going with Duet....I met with 5 different photographers and they were the 2nd cheapest....but if you add up everything we're getting, the deal is the best. Duet threw in a TON of stuff for us....they were great to work with so far and are very budget accomodating. You should definitely meet with them!!

We used Patken, but I did drag my DH to a total of 9 photographers, yes 9. I met with 12th and Duet and Duet was our second choice. I didn't like 12th not having a package that included all the works. Both take great pictures though
I am using Twelfth Night and have referred many brides to them. They love them. Domenick and his crew do unbelievable work. The reason why they are inexpensive is bc you don't have proofs or albums. Everything is given to you on a CD and then you can go to Shutterfly or Ofoto and make the same professional albums for much less than a photographer would charge.

We are using Duet and I dont think they are a budget vendor at all. We are paying $5000.00 for Video and Photography. It seems that way cause they give you a lot for your money. We did not feel that we were spending so much for nothing.
I went to places and they wanted to charge me 5K without video and no albums for my parents and my album was a regular standard album with 36 pictures in it. That's insane.
