Has anybody used the Woo Team? We just booked them tonight and are curious how you liked them and how your albums turned out.
It was a huge decision and I'm still nervous about making the right choice. It was between them and JoVon.

Re: Duet Photography
I never heard about JoVan but RAVES about Woo from old posts. Woo or Jay's team are supposed to be great. I was not allowed to pick my photographer. Should I call them?? I really wanted to book someone I heard

Re: Duet Photography
I know! I was the last one to take that date so I think whomever was before me wanted a specific photographer but he had to check but would not put it on the contract cause the other girl I think wanted a specific person. Humm..I never really cared after that since I heard such good things about all the other teams, but I never heard of JoVan

Re: Duet Photography
JoVon is another Photography company. He is not with Duet. Sorry for that confusion.
I do like Woo. I am the last to book with that date, though I am nervous since I can't sign the contract this week.
I have to call again to make sure they hold the date for me. I really would like to put a deposit down to make sure they don't give my date away. But they say they don't take money until the contract is signed. I live so far though. (a few hours away)
Do you think they will let me reserve with a CC? I haven't negotiated a deal yet though. I tried to explain this over the phone but I did not feel secure in that my date would not disappear.

Re: Duet Photography
Most places will let you do an initial deposit on CC, although policies vary on subsequent payments. I actually heard that it was a smart idea to do all of your deposits on CC...in the event that there is an issue with a vendor, you can stop the payment from the CC company's end and not worry about losing your money. FH and I have been following that advice, and so far every vendor we've booked has taken CC for the initial deposit. Good luck!

Re: Duet Photography
thanks for the advice. I have heard that as well, but haven't heard of anybody actually doing that. Glad to hear you have been doing it and it's been working out well.
Thanks!

Re: Duet Photography
I booked Duet yesterday, did deposit on a CC and they told me subsequent payments can be on CC also. Tears came to my eyes when I looked at their books and I knew they were right for me. Plus I like the idea of two photogs giving two different perspectives. They also guaranteed me 700 proofs (I asked for this, it wasn't in the contract originaly).
Hope this helps !!

Re: Duet Photography
When I booked Duet about a month ago, I specifically asked for Woo's team and Eric had no problem adding that to my contract. I have my e-shoot on October 18th with him - I will post pics as soon as I get them!

Re: Duet Photography
I had my E-shoot two weeks ago with Woo. The proofs are amazing, I love them so much. He really did such an excellent job.
