Duet Photography

So last night I met with Eric at Duet photography.
The price of the package was great BUT the appointment itself was HORRIBLE!!! I felt like I was conducting the entire appointment. He did not give me any information; he would only give me information if I asked him questions. I even had to ask to see a video!! I felt that the appointment was rushed and there was really no presentation. The other photographers (Leli, Silverfox & Paul Marino) I had met with spent so much time with me & FH and had great presentations. Maybe I had too high of expectations for Duet?? Just needed to vent about my experience.....

There is def a language barrier there so my appointment wasn't as great as others but there work proved that they are talented. I care more about their work than anything else...I will be honset that I am concerned about communicating what I want the day of but I will meet my photographer tomorrow for e-pics so I will get to see how he is then. I just fell in love with the albums and we couldnt get any better for our money. There has been nothing but good reviews as well.

I will let you know how my e-shoot goes tomorrow.

Yes please let me know how it goes with your e-pics. I'm so confused about who I want to use for photography!

I honestly think with Duet it is just the language barrier that causes that problem. They will answer any question you have and will work with packages and prices and everything I have heard about their photogs is excellent. Plus I think their work speaks for itself.

I did not care if I didnt get a whole presentation. They were the last one I met with and booked them right away.

I booked with Duet. I too had a HUGE problem understanding them. It almost influenced my decision to NOT book with them. However, their albums and reputation seems to sell itself. I mean, I have not met one person that did not like their work. Every bride that used them has been 100% satisfied so that made me book them. One thing that helped was I asked all questions in emails so I had everything in writing. Sue is the email contact and has been very helpful explaining things VIA email.

OMG I had the same problem and I never said anything cause everyone on here loves them....so I thought it was just me!!! I wound up booking with 12th Night because I was so turned off by my appointment with them.

Good luck with your search. They do take amazing pictures, but to me meshing with the photographer was important as well as the quality of the pics. You have to go with your gut.

Same problem here. I almost didnt book them. But the LIwedding girls suggested I go back to meet with him again. THANK GOD! Our second meet was better and I booked that same day. Go back to Eric, he is adorable

We just booked them last night and did feel a little funny about the language barrier but we looked passed that as we were very very impressed with their work. Eric really worked with us to get close to the ideal package.

DUET was the last Photo/Video vendor we saw. My Fiancee & I both knew almost immediately that they were 'the' vendor we were looking for.
We are both relieved that we have finally found the Photo/Video! We are confident that they will do an excellent job - and as alli3131 said the work really does speak for itselt!

Honestly I felt the same way. I felt other vendors were too pushy. I liked that I could ask what I wanted, and he gave me a straight answer.

I had an idea of what I wanted though... I can see how people who don't really know what to look for wouldn't like it.

I booked with them on the spot for photo and video, my parents and FH couldn't be happier.

What is the price range for a package including albums for the parents, and video?

You can FM me if you prefer

Thanks

Re: Duet Photography

To be honest I had the same fears when I was out of the appointment, but Lisa has been great with email and our actual photographer, TJ, has been amazing! I LOVE our epics and am fully confident that our wedding pics will turn out just as well!

That stinks. Try Vivid Videoa nd Photography That is who we booked with ad they gave us a great price, they were very professional. We felt like we knew them forever that si how comfortable Kathie made us. I also love their demo video it was very different then any other type of video I have seen before.

i loved the fact that our appt was sweet and to the point. i met with another photographer and we were there so long, i had a headache at the end. i find the email communication to be excellent and i had my e-pics last week and didn't have a problem understanding Danny. i am completely confident in my decision to go with them. forget all the hot air and grand presentation...show me what you got baby!
