Hey girls!! I have had my photgrapher booked for about a year now and I really like him but for some reason I am really drawn to Duet pics that I see on here. I'm really considering calling them and canceling the photgrapher I have now. I think if I tell FH he might kill me, so before I call Duet and try to meet with them, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me know what their pricing is like/what their packages include. My photographer isn't that popular on here and I'm paying $6400 for photo and video including photjournalism...I didn't get a reallllly great deal or anything so I'm starting to doubt my decision.
Help please!!

I didn't meet with Duet, but they're less than you're paying depeinding on the package. I would cancel only if I could get my money back. No sense in throwing it out the window.

Yeah definately.. I have to weigh out the positives and negatives 100%. My deposit for photo was only $800 but to lose that would still be a big deal... Hopefully I'll get some information on here before FH gets home from work so I can try to persuade him to call Duet for an appointment. LoL

Not sure how much Duet is, but I just wanted to say that just because your photog isnt that popular on this site, doesn't mean he isnt fabulous. There is a reason why you chose him in the first place. I know a lot of girls can get really caught up on LIW and think its the only resource for vendors, but trust me, its not the only one! Your photog could be popular, just not amoung the LIW girls. We are just a small fraction. I just don't want you to doubt someone that you really loved just because other girls on this site are not using him. I am sure he is great!!!!

Well, if I were you I would keep the photographer. $800 bucks is a lot. Plus, with Duet- you have big payments. I booked them. The first deposit was about 400 I believe, then the second was the same and then a few months later it was about 1400. So, you will be losing money in the first place. Duet is fantastic but I have seen other lesser known photogs produce the same type of photographs as well.

I found myself in a pretty similiar situation and I ended up switching my photographer also! Even though you will loose your deposit (check your contract to make sure you don't owe any more than that) it will be worth it in the end. You don't want to look back and regret staying with your photographer just because you'd loose your deposit, ya know?
I'd meet with Duet..and see how you feel after that..then compare the things you love about your current photographer, and Duet..and make your decision from there. It can't hurt to look at another photographer..you have nothing to loose
I ended up booking with Imagine and I am so obssesed...I know it was the righ decision because after booking I haven't second guessed myself!

Im booked with Duet... For photo and video (1 photographer 1 photojournalist 1 videographer) it was about $4800 and this included an upgraded bride and groom album. I love their work...they are great!
But in the end we ended up dropping the video and just going with photo.

we r paying 5000 at duet for 2 photographers,1 videographer and 3 dvds our album plus 2 parent albums and its 11 hrs coverage

im paying 4200 for 2 photographers, 11 hours of coverage 2 parent albums one bridal album 80 thank yous (make sure u fight them for that they dont alaways included it) and all proffs on a desk and Video... They will add and work with you with the price, you just have to be sturn,,
