Duet Question- language barrier?
Hi girls-Sorry to crash your board. I have a question that I think you would be able to answer better.
We are about to book Duet for photo and video and are aware of the language barrier. The accent is the only thing that is making us hesitant. Would you guys be able to recommend a photographer team from Duet that is able to communicate better then their coworkers?
Thanks...

Re: Duet Question- language barrier?
I think this is everyone's main concern when they book Duet, but once you actually work with the photographers, you'll find they are much easier to understand. We are using Jay's team. We had an e-shoot with him, and LOVED him. His direction and personality were great!

Re: Duet Question- language barrier?
I loved their work, but I felt that the language barrier would stress out FH. So I went another direction. But many, many girls are happy with them and had no problems.

Re: Duet Question- language barrier?
This issue crossed my mind for about a minute when we were thinking about booking them, and then I said ' we are hiring them to take our pictures, not have a conversation with!'.We had Alberto for our e-pics who has no accent at all, and Sam and Gio for the wedding. Sam and Gio were a bit harder to understand, but was it was definitely not an issue in terms of getting any pictures in the slightest bit. They were great - they made everyone feel really relaxed when taking the pics.

I don't think they have set 'teams'. When I met with Sam before the wedding he didn't know yet who would be with him. I found out a few days before it would be Gio.

Some girls said they chose their photographer. That didn't even occur to me until after I saw it here, but honestly, I didn't even care who it would be because I love all the pictures I have seen by Duet. I asked a few months ago who our photographers would be and they told me Scott and Sam but it would up being Sam and Gio.
Really, don't worry. They are all so wonderful and nice over there. I have never seen a vendor answer emails as quickly as they do. Sue is so on top of things!

Re: Duet Question- language barrier?
we have JAys Team put into our contract, we used him for our engagement pics too and we had NO trouble at all- and really how much actual conversation do you have... they give basic directions that they give over and over again..anyway off on a tangent- I think their work is great and had no trouble understanding Jay
