duet questions

okay i went to duet yesterday and they kinda are the only one i was even considering. just looking to know if my experinece was normal
they asked if we wanted just pics or pics and video, we said both they let us look at albums then he opened a book and showed us one package that was for both and said you want to book?????

Is this the way we do it? I mean i felt so uncomfotable... we werent planning on booking on the spot, my FH wants to look at patkins too, but i thought that was strange...
then when he thought we wouldn't book he offered the e-pics for free,and also threw in the video casette tapes for free. does anyone think ita good deal.. i think the price was $4750.00 or somewhere around there..

you don't have to book on the spot....take your time and look around.....but i booked duet...and from what i have seen on this website ...they do a great job!!

I used Duet and when I first went to see them I met with Erick. I didn't have the same experience as you though. They let us look at all of the albumns and played a few videos for us. They talked to us about what we wanted in our package and gave us a price. Then they confirmed that they were still available for my date and said call us if you have any questions and hopefully we will hear from you soon. We saw a few others photogs but we ended up booking with Duet.

Even though I didn't have the same experience as you, I could see being a little put off by that. It's always uncomfortable when vendors assume you want to book on the spot. I'm always honest and say, well we are still interviewing other vendors and we appreciate your time and I think we will be speaking again soon.

hehe! if you spoke with eric, then yeah i can imagine him doing that...

he's a great guy and videographer, not the best of salesman... his photographer's work speak for him though. most girls rave about their work.

no but for real...i dont get why they would say that to you. Was it Eric you met with?? you def can get throw ins, i can tell you what we got...FM me when you get time.

Yeah, like someone said, Eric is the sweetest guy, but not the best salesman. He wasn't trying to pressure you, sometimes it seems like he just doesn't know what to say.
GO ahead and look at other photographers and then make your decision. We didn't book Duet on the spot, we saw many othre photographers and went back and forth on it many times.
He will also work with you on the stuff in the package if you don't like what was in the one he showed you - he is very flexible about all that stuff!

I feel so much better, i really like there style! i'm gonna give FH the chance to look around, whatever appointments he makes I'll attend(which he'll probally not make any ) but i'm pretty sure we'll go with them!!
