Duet (team sam) VS Velvet

Duet (team sam) VS Velvet

FH and I are a little torn between Velvet and Duet for photo. The only team available on our wedding date from duet is team sam. Please share you experiences good or bad (fm is need be) with me.

Dont have any experience with them personally. I really wanted Duet based on reccomendations from co workers but they were booked for my wedding weekend.

I have seen pics from both places mentioned. I would choose Duet because they will do very journalistic shots along with traditional. I find Velvet is more on the traditional side, IMO.

I agree, I would prob choose Duet. We met with both companys and were not impressed by Velvet, they definitely do more traditional, not photojournalistic. Duet was our second choice but we chose Imagine Studios =)

I worked with Duet for my wedding with Danny's team and they were phenomenal. I'm sure Sam's team is talented as well. Their work is amazing. I loved how our photos and video came out. I agree that velvet is more traditional than duet. It depends if that is what you are looking for. I met with both and went with duet.

wow duet made a clean sweep....

Thanks for the help. I still feel concered about duet though bc team sams photos do not seem to be as creative or impressive as other photographers from duet.

I might be too late, but I am using Velvet. I am so happy with them so far. My E-pics came out great, and Bob is great to work with so far. He spends a lot of time with me on the phone lately working out my timeline because I am a freak. He's been very patient so far.

Good luck with your chocie...whoever you go with you can't go wrong. Duet gets a lot of great reviews on this site!

I have Team Sam from Duet. I didn't know I was supposed to choose a specific photographer, and by the time I realized, Sam was one of 2 left. I pray that he does a good job. My logic was that Duet is awesome, and anyone from there is going to be awesome.

I'm meeting with him on Tuesday. I'll be sure to tell him everything I have in mind.

I did not mean anything bad about team Sam I am sure they will be a great job at your wedding! I would have never know about picking a team if it wasnt for LIW and it is a good thing for LIW bc they didnt evenhave Sams book out on the table for us to look at.
