We're in the photographer-looking stage and are interested in Duet, Thomas Paul, & Patken, but have no idea if they are reasonably priced. If anyone has used them, would you mind FMing me with some of the pricing information? We really want creative colorful photos and would sacrifice albums if we had to.

Of the ones you mentioned, DH and I visited Patken and Duet. We were interested in both photo and video, and went with Duet.
IMHO, the quality of Duet's photographers is more consistent so you'd probably be happy no matter who was taking pics of the wedding.
We felt that the owner of Patken was more highly skilled than the staff photogs there. There was nothing wrong with the staff photog's work, but we felt it was a little staid. However the owner charges $2K more than the staffers. Given that the staffers' price was already higher than Duet, we went with Duet.

I went with Thomas Paul. He has great work, and I loved the quality and creativity of their pictures. He is very reasonably priced.

I met with Patken and although the pics are gorgeous...I really feel that you can get sooooo much more for your money!
I didn't like the idea of not meeting with my photographer first either. Every other place I went to, I sat down with the person who would be my photog for the wedding.
Did you try Park Ave Studios? He was really nice & great package for the price!
I haven't booked yet, but he is one of my top guys!

We really liked Infinite Images and Duet but went with Duet. My fiance is really into photography and liked their style. Plus we were getting a lot in the package with chose that wound up being less expensive than Infinite Images.

I just got my digital photos from Duet and I am thrilled with them. Really good stuff. I am now going to have albums made but shopping around as I spent the money on the talent to get the shots, now I need to save a bit on prints/ albums.

I am a Patken bride and so far I am beyond happy. We took our epics wit them and I love the way they came out. We are using John who is a manager, he is next in line after the owner and doesn't charge an additional fee. I know numerous people who have used them and all of their pictures and albums came out beautiful. I think their editing is pretty amazing too. I didn't meet with the other two photographers but I did meet with Park Ave Studios and I wasn't that thrilled. They were nice but I asked them if they booked all of their photogs on the weekends and they do. So I asked what would happen if they someone got sick and there was an emergency and he said they would hire out. That kind of turned me off to them because he said he couldn't guaranttee that t would be the same style. At Paken all of the photographers are trained by the owner to have the same style.
