Duet vs. Patken

Duet vs. Patken

Hello Ladies,

I'm fairly new to LI Wedding and thanks to all of you I've gotten good advise on different vendors.

We need both video & photo packages so today I met with Duet and Patken. They both offer similar packages and are about the same price. I loved them both, now for the hard part....who should I go with...PATKEN OR DUET????

Also, from Duet I loveeeeee TJ, Jay or Alberto...all three are available on my wedding day. Who should I pick from the three? PLESE HELPP!!!!

Ohhhhhhh, one more thing (hehe).... I have an appt next weekend w/ Sherwood Triart Studios. Should I cancel my appt w/ STS and just choose between Duet or Patken OR is it worth going to my appt next week and seeing what they have to offer?

Alberto isn't available because he'll be doing my wedding the same day. You should check with them. These are the photographers who are available..

I was told sherwood was 10k. That crossed them off my list.

my FSIL used Sherwood Triat....I almost fell off my chair when I heard how much she paid!!!!!!

Whoo hooo, I found someone else who's getting married on 4/29/11

Ok, easier decision for me...now I would just have to choose between Jay or TJ.

YIKESSS!! I didnt know Sherwood Triart was sooo expensive. I want to stay underk $5K for both photo/video.

I emailed them for pricing info and all they said was that thier photo packages start at $2995 and $1795 for video. I might cancel my appt.

Im using patken as well =) I have Steve
My sister used patken for her wedding and her pics were beautiful I have some of her pics in my album if you want to take a look

aww thank you ! They were it for me when I saw my FSIL's pics. They also did 4 of her in laws and I also have 2 friends that used them and I am just in love with their work. Good luck and if you need any help don't hesitate to ask

loveeeee duet's pix...i was torn btwn jay & tj too, I think their pix are gorgeous! I went with TJ, but I think they both take amazing pix.

I didn't check out patken or sherwood triart, but I think the styles of each company are different, so search thru the review boards, check out pix from each company and see which you like the best. I dont think you can go wrong with either duet or patken, ive read really good reviews of each!

Im using sheerwood for video and photo and am not paying nearly 10k combined....you can make your own package it does not need to be so expensive. I guess it depends on how much you want...I have one photographer and an assistant. If you want 2 photographers thats when it gets costly. I love their pictures I think you should at least go look!

It depends on the style that you like. Personally I was more of a Duet fan rather than Patken (ended up going with Twelfth Night instead). What steered us away from Patken was the lack of candids in their albums. Patken's posed photos were beautiful, but FH and I were looking for mostly candids.

WOW, your sister's pics came out BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!
She said there was only two photographers left for my date so I would have to act fast.....YIKES, ya no pressure, LOL!

Thanks ladies, you've all been VERYYYY helpful. I'm def gonna check out sherwood triart & twelfth night photo this week and make my decision by the weekend!!!!
