This is one of the last major vendors we have to worry about booking and i'm so torn!!! If there is another photographer that you would recommend please list them below!

FIRST OFF... DUET, IN MY MIND IS SHADY. SORRY TO EVERYONE WHO LOVES THEM. WHEN WE WENT THERE FOR OUR APPOINTMENT THEY LAID ON THE PRESSURE WAY TOO HARD. WE WERE INDECEISIVE BECAUSE IT DIDNT SEEM LIKE THEY WERE WORKING WITH US ON PRICES VERY MUCH. WHEN I ASKED HIM TO NEGOTIATE A LITTLE BETTER THEY SAID IN A SHADY VOICE 'SEE THAT COUPLE SITTING AT THAT TABLE NEXT TO YOU?' HE GLANCED AT THEM SLIGHTLY AND WHISPERED 'WELL... THEY HAVE YOUR SAME DATE SO YOU'LL NEED TO BOOK QUICKLY.' I LOOKED AT MY FIANCE AND WE CHUCKED UNDER OUR BREATH--- AT THE TIME OUR WEDDING WAS OVER 1 1/2 YEARS AWAY ANDDDD THEY HAVE 4 DIFFERENT PHOTOGROPHER GROUPS AVAILBLE TO TAKE PICTURES OF DIFFERENT WEDDINGS EACH DAY... I WENT HOME TO LOOK AT THEIR 'AVAILABILITY' BECAUSE YOU CAN ACCESS IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE AND NO PHOTOGROPHERS WERE BOOKED FOR OUR DAY, NOT EVEN THAT OTHER COUPLE (WHO I'M SURE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE OUR DATE). I DON'T WANT SHADY PEOPLE AT MY WEDDING AND I DON'T LIKE BEING BULLIED INTO BOOKING.
AFTER I WENT TO MY CAR, I CALLED THOMAS PAUL AND EXPLAINED WHAT JUST HAPPENED. HE LAUGHED AND SAID HE CAN MATCH AND THROW IN MORE THEN DUET WAS QUOTING US. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM AND LOVED HIS WORK....

SO THAT IS OUR STORY. SORRY SO LONG LOL
with Duet's customer service they arent the people who are taking your pictures all the photographers from what ive read have been super sweet and you dont even notice them. I never once felt pressured to book with them. I booked them for their pictures and photographer reputations. Also for the pure fact you will not even notice them the whole night. Both do amazing work but I think Duet was a tad cheaper. Oh and I negotiated with Duet down like $600, Trust me there are photographer vendors with 100 times worse customer servies. Its really all in your style of what you like better good like.

Can I just say that I am so happy other people were not pleased with Duet's customer service...I started to think it was just me.
When I went and asked to see video the guy told me to watch in online ...ummmm excuse me but I drove about an hour to see your work
Needless to say I did not book with them

Needless to say I did not book with them
I'm surprised....when I went there in person, the salesperson was more than happy to let me watch the video. I must have watched about 15 minutes worth too. He was nice enough to flip through the different chapters and show the different highlights they have on the DVD.
And I will add, my mother talked this guy's ear off the whole entire time. She worked in the photography business, so she seriously grilled him. He was very nice the entire time.
I showed FH their website when he got home from work, and booked Duet online the following day.
