I didn't meet with Duet. I booked with Thomas Paul. I think they are two totally different photography styles.

I met with both. I'm booked with Thomas Paul and really happy about it. I had initially booked with another vendor and switched just this month. I didn't book with Duet because the process just felt too 'rushed'. Also, the teams we were interested in were booked on our date. They book up quickly.
Both take amazing pictures but slightly different styles. You'll get great photos with either one! Good Luck!

I was MOH for a good friend who used Thomas Paul.........The guy is awesome! He gives you 2 photographers one starts with the girls & one starts with the guys. She had Thomas & Anthony & an assistant. They had everything done by time the cocktail hour started & the photos are unblevable!

I booked with Thomas Paul. He's awesome, he totally works with you to ensure that you come up with a package to fit your needs and budget, and he makes you feel very comfortable. He has great customer service as well, does his dilligence and makes follow up phone calls and touches base with you. Very professional.
I didn't meet with Duet, because my sister used them in 2007 and we didn't care for the process day of, and how they make you do most of the post-work yourself.

Great point Ali, I should have expanded. I really don't have the words for Thomas Paul's customer service. He checks in, he follows up. He cares. I never heard from my prior photog. after I booked and email responses were lax. I'm diligent about things and need to be met at the same level. His level of service is second to none.

Completely agree. TP is my fav vendor! I felt so lucky that he wasn't booked for my day.

Maybe post work was the wrong term...I know my sister had to basically colorize things herself though through their website, like if she wanted a pic in black and white, she needed to click black and white, if she wanted sepia, she had to click sepia, if she wanted a pic where it was all black and white except for the flowers in red, she had to do it, etc....then submit those preferences. She's also not computer savvy at all, so it was very frustrating to her...my younger sister ended up having to do most of it and go over there to do it LOL. So we didn't want to have to do it ourselves, we'd rather it be given to us.
ETA: this was prior to receiving proofs, not ordering prints herself with these preferences.

Re: Duet/Thomas Paul
i think both are talented...u just have to see who really offers u more for ur money & who u personally 'click' with...i also think they have very different styles..Thomaspaul is candid, and then also very f in e art..where duet is also candid, but offers a traditional style as well...but they are both great and will probably deliver with whatever you want.
I for one, am a former Thomaspaul girl and i can not say one negative thing about him or his company. they are great people, who do great work and my proofs are amazing. here's a link to my review:
I only met with Duet and thought they were good. Several friends used them and loved their work.
If you are open to other photosgraphers...you might want to meet with Imagine Studios. They are amazing!! FM me if you want more info

Re: Duet/Thomas Paul
I LOVE THOMAS PAUL. He really works with your budget so it is hard to give you quotes for certain packages. Let him know what your budget is and he will work with you.

Re: Duet/Thomas Paul
We met with both Duet and Thomas Paul. They both offered us similiar prices for a similiar price. We ended up booking Duet...just because we liked their style better and felt more comfortable with them. I think both are great though.
