Wow, 18 kids. My gosh, they must be rich, that's a lot of mouths to feed.

That is a lot of kids.... but like they say 'god does not give you more than you can handle' so i guess... GOD BLESS THAT MOM!!!!

My Grandma was one of 19 and they were honeslty so happy and close.....the sibblings remain close to this day

The only reason they can afford it is because of all the TLC Channel specials they get paid to do. They live in east jabib and the mother doesn't work. I think the father does some sort of construction, they actually even built their own house. I think its nice to have a large family but I can't help but think how neglected some of these children probably feel from little one on one attention with their parents. If you've watched the show, it seems like the older kids raise the younger ones and they have a crazy chore schedule from the minute they are old enough to carry a laundry basket.

i am all about have a large family, but when you have to make a chart Thats called 'time with mommy' maybe thats a sign that your family is large enough. Your children shouldnt have to be put into a schedule for when let get time with mom.

They've had those children long before TLC even came into the picture though. I've seen the show and they seem like an extremely close family. I'm sure it's not easy, but they seem to be very happy!

Yes, and did you see where they were living before TLC, they were renting a very small house that was cramped beyond belief!!! They only recently were able to build a brand new house because of the TV $$$. But thats not even what i have an issue with, its the 'system' they have in place where the older kids raise the younger ones. And one mother homeschooling 18 children can't be the best route education wise.

I understand that some people do not believe in birth control but there comes a point in time where you need to say having another is going to take a way from the others. Actually the opposite for them. Those kids will probrobly get 100% financial assistance for college..meanwhile I am trying to save enough to go part time.
