When you go for your 1st fitting have they already done work to your dress? I dropped off my dress last week and have my 1st fitting at the end of July, but she didn't measure me or anything. Or do they do that at your 1st fitting?
I think the first fitting is the first time they fit the dress to you, e.g. pin it and see what needs to be done. they will leave all the pins and markings in it when you take it off that first time and then when you come back for the second fitting, they will see how well the dress fits with the work done. then you might be done or need 1-2 more to get it perfect.
no work is done until the first fitting---cause how else would they know how it fits on you, w/o you putting the gown on? when you have the 1st fitting is when they pin things and such

Yeah, well that was my point . Seems like all the 1st fittings I've seen on here, the dresses fit so nice already. Mine is really big in the bodice , so I was a little confused.
