Dumb limo Q

Dumb limo Q

Sooo, I think it's time I get back on the planning train. I want to start looking into limo's. What's the first step? Do I call places and get quotes? Do I just go and show up there? Why do I feel so stupid?? How do I even know exactly what I need??

I emailed a lot of places an heard back from 3 of them. I still have more to call. If you can go visit in person, definitely do it!! Make sure you are stern about what you want too! Good Luck!!

And you are NOT stupid!

Stalk them online and check out their fleet! Most have pictures of the inside and outside. Then call for quotes.. compare and when u think you found a good one make an appt to go see the limos in person Thats what we did! HTH

Re: Dumb limo Q

well first thing you need to sit down and figure out is how many people you are going to need limos for:

Are you providing limos just for the BP?
Will you be including their dates in the limo?
Do you and FH want a separate limo after the ceremony?
Do you want to have a separate limo before the ceremony for just you and your dad?
Will you be providing any other sort of transportation for other guests (like your parents, close family, friends) like a Partybus?

Once you have all that figured out, then start calling companies up to get quotes from them (some may even give you quotes via email, so may say to come in and you'll discuss in person).

For most places you will probably need to make an appt.

I would post on VHB... they get back realllly fast on there and at least you'll know if they have your date and cars available before you waste time calling!

Why don't you post what you need on Vendors Helping Brides? Then you can get a few quotes and go from there!

Re: Dumb limo Q

Thanks, girls!! I think we know what we want, but who the heck knows...

-- Classic car for me, my dad and mom (and then for me and FH after the ceremony)
-- Limo for my parents and FH's parents (and maybe our grandma's?)
-- Limo for our bridal party (not with dates)

I think that sounds right? Are you guys booking shuttles through your limo place, too? I was thinking of doing that separate at a later time?

What are you girls doing as far as limos?

Re: Dumb limo Q

we are just getting a Partybus that will be for us, the BP, their dates, and a few other random people. This will be picking up/dropping the GMs at the church, coming to pick up/drop off the BMs at the church, and then take all of us after the church to do pictures and then do the RH.

We are also going to look into getting a Coach Bus for out OOT guests and other people who are not going to be staying at the hotel that night. We'll have a pick up probably at FIL's house, it will bring them to the church, then take them from the church to the RH and then back to FIL's house after the wedding and then people can figure out their way home from there.

As far as everyone staying at the hotel, there will be a shuttle service provided to and from the RH before and after the reception (the hotel provides this for us).

I emailed a bunch of places and got quotes and narrowed it down that way ( I am on a TIGHT budget). Once I picked a place I went there.

I called Joe at Camelot, told him what I wanted and he gave me a price over the phone. Then we set up an appointment to met and discuss it.

First, I tried to figure out the schedule and what types of cars I needed. Then called places for quotes, but then also made appointments to look at the cars/limos that i was interested in. I went to about 3 places in total before booking.

My Limo schedule:
2pm 14 passenger limo picks up FH & GM at house drops off at church
2:30 14 passenger limo picks up me and BM to take to church
3:35 Church over, 14 passenger limo takes the 10 person Bridal party to picture location, Caddy car comes for me and FH to take to picuture location

Both cars will drop off at RH by 7.
