My BF has 6 siblings, 4 married. They get together xmas eve and we have a Kris Kringle between all of us. B/c I'm jewish we also spend xmas with his parents and his two sisters that are single. I had started 2 years ago getting the sisters (and parents) a little gift for xmas regardless of the Kris Kringle. They get me a gift but it is for my bday which is xmas eve so its not for the holidays. I was going to get them little gifts again this year and figured I'd stop once we're officially engaged. What do you think? Should I continue and give the gifts this year or just stop it now before they expect it every year? Thanks.

I would stop it. MAybe just get something the whole family could use- like some cookies or candy.

i'm actually annoyed at my cousin right now...we were supposed to only be buying the KIDS gifts this year, not the adults...and she just informed me that she picked up a 'little something' for everyone!!!

I agree something edible is always nice... maybe one of those gift baskests with chocolate, peanuts, etc.

Thanks - that would be perfect except they're kinda weird like that. The mom cooks everything, in fact we're all getting together to bake holiday cookies. They have tons. I get the mom flowers and the dad wine - so thats sorta used by everyone.
BMD'sPeanut - that would annoy me too if all of a sudden she got something for everyone.

I've been with the BF for 4 years. This'll be the third holiday we spent together. I get them gifts for their bdays. They've gotten me one each year. I guess its that I also feel funny getting a present on their holiday, even though its my bday- and then not giving them something that day.
