Dumb question.

Dumb question.

I switched over my balance from one credit card to another and now I still have a finance charge on the old one. How do you write a check for 68cents?
Do you write 'zero dollars and sixty eight cents' or just sixty eight cents?'

I think the dumb question is why are they charging you 68 cents call them and tell them to write it off

I am sure they will - it will cost them more then 68 cents to process the payment. Asking won't hurt and worst case scenario, tape 68 cents to an index card & mail it. I refust to write a check for an amount like that.

If you paid your entire balance on time, why is there a finance charge? Call and dispute it. I do it all the time

Re: Dumb question.

I called yesterday to inquire about the charge. The guy asked me if I wanted some protection plan so that I would be ok if I couldn't make the payments on time. What? I started laughing. Was he for real? It was 68 cents. But he was serious which is very scary.

ONe time I owed 10 cents for NYS taxes... the acct. told me to waive it, but I didn't want to have a hassle years down the line for 10 cents, so I just wrote a check for 10 cents... I put in the box $0.10 and wrote out zero dollars and 10 cents. They cashed it.

I just called them and they took off the charge. Thanks. Now why couldn't the guy do that when I called yesterday?
